6˝ Case thermometer is filled with an environmentally safe, citrus-based liquid, making it safe for usage in a variety of situations. Stem and bulb are partially encased in aluminum. Perforations allow air or liquid to reach bulb for accurate readings.

Extremely unreliable. Almost all of the thermometers we ordered acquired bubbles within a matter of days, making them useless during our field study. Accuracy was also a concern with several of the thermometers being off by several degrees.
This reviewer would not recommend this product to a friend.
